2027 World Ringette Championships - Host Committee (Dieppe, NB)

The 2027 World Ringette Championships Host Committee is seeking a Director of Finance to join its leadership team for this landmark international event.

The Director of Finance will be responsible for overseeing the financial well-being of the Championships from the early stages of the bid process through to the successful completion of the event and the establishment of legacy funds. This role is critical to ensuring sound financial planning, accountability, and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all financial aspects of the event from bid development through post-event wrap-up
• Develop, monitor, and report on budgets and financial forecasts
• Ensure appropriate bookkeeping and accounting practices are followed
• Work collaboratively with all host committee portfolios to identify, plan, and resource financial requirements
• Support financial decision-making to ensure the long-term success and legacy of the event

Ideal Candidate:

• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in bookkeeping and/or accounting practices
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a volunteer-driven environment
• Experience with large-scale events, non-profit organizations, or sport organizations is considered an asset

This is a volunteer leadership position and offers a unique opportunity to contribute to an international sporting event while leaving a lasting legacy for ringette in Canada and beyond.

Comité hôte du Championnat mondial de ringuette 2027 - Dieppe (N.-B.)

Le Comité hôte du Championnat mondial de ringuette 2027 est à la recherche d’un(e) directeur(trice) des finances pour se joindre à son équipe de direction dans le cadre de cet événement international majeur.

Le ou la directeur(trice) des finances sera responsable de la gestion financière du Championnat, depuis les premières étapes du processus de candidature jusqu’à la conclusion de l’événement et à la création de fonds de legs. Ce rôle est essentiel pour garantir une planification financière saine, transparente et assurer la pérennité de l’événement.

Principales responsabilités :

• Diriger et gérer tous les aspects financiers de l’événement, de la préparation de la candidature jusqu’à la clôture financière post-événement
• Élaborer, suivre et présenter les budgets et prévisions financières
• Veiller à l’application de pratiques appropriées en matière de tenue de livres et de comptabilité
• Collaborer avec l’ensemble des secteurs du comité hôte afin d’identifier, planifier et financer les besoins
• Appuyer la prise de décisions financières visant le succès à long terme et l’héritage de l’événement

Profil recherché :

• Expérience et connaissances démontrées en comptabilité et/ou en tenue de livres
• Excellentes compétences organisationnelles et analytiques
• Capacité à travailler efficacement au sein d’un environnement bénévole
• Une expérience en événements d’envergure, au sein d’organismes sans but lucratif ou d’organisations sportives constitue un atout
